When a blade of my original Joyce Chen scissors broke after ten years of hard use I rushed to find a replacement. I stumbled upon a promotional offer from Amazon and ended up buying four pairs of scissors for the price of three and am planning to give several pairs as gifts. For me the scissors are an indispensable kitchen and garden tool. Among other uses, I snip herbs, cut and deadhead flowers, mince parsley and dried fruits, and devein shrimp. Although they are expensive scissors, the handles fit my hand, and the blades are slender and sharp. I gave these scissors five stars because I really couldn't think of any negatives other than the price and the fact that the original pair didn't last forever.

We've used one of our three pair of Joyce Chen kitchen scissors for twenty years. We recently bought two more pairs because someone always had the first pair somewhere other than the kitchen. Great scissors for many uses. Very durable and comfortable.
