Like the first reviewer, I concur almost exactly. I have one $80 Red Umbrella from Costco. I bought two of these for $35 each. However, the quality is not nearly as good as the more expensive umbrella. The fabric is thinner, the pole gage is thinner, and the open/retract mechanism is not as robust. I am worried about the durability of the mechanism. Unlike the more expensive unit, you can see the rope that is put into tension when the crank is turned and the umbrella is opened. The system seems to be under stress and the action and movement is not smooth or "confident". I find myself nervous to open the umbrella everyday. But ...... nothing wrong has happened yet.
Ewins shipped promptly and followed up with an email. Very impressive. If I have an issue, I will test their customer support and see how they do. I don't expect a life time warranty, but I do hope they will stand behind any apparent quality issues.

This umbrella was a premium product for cheap $$$! I live in Southern California so next time, I would probably buy a tan or beige umbrella because it has faded pretty bad in the 2 months I've had it but that has nothing to do with quality.

I loved the speed in which this product was sent. I loved the color red or what I refer to as Valentine Red. Valentine Red was exactly what I was looking for. The price for this umbrella is incredible. I do think the pole and frame are of a lighter made material and I think the crank is not smooth but it sure beats the string pulley system. I was sad when after only 2 weeks we had a light wind gust, often known in Nevada. Two of the umbrella rods broke. Big Bummer! Now I will order another.....I like the Red. Ummm, I wonder if they will replace the frame? Then I could have two. I would like to have other colors as well. I typically have 5 on the patio at once.
