I got the unit promptly and proceeded to install in my suburban - this was a replacement for an existing flip-down dvd player that had stopped working. The installation was not bad, particularly because most of the mounting was already in place but there are no instructions. I confirmed all wiring was correct and that I had a hot wire to the unit. The lights on the unit worked but the tv didn't turn on - never could get it to work. Had to order a new unit.

Instructions for install are non-existent. This is how I would write it up if I had 30 seconds.
1) Locate monitor (while opened) in proposed position against headliner. Confirm that viewing angle is appropriate and that the system does not interfere with driver.
2) Mark four holes for screws. Screw holes form a diamond pattern. Holes have a membrane of plastic covering them that will need to be pierced prior to marking. Suggest using chalk or pencil in the event you change location and want to erase marks.
3) Mark the cable locations coming out the top of the unit. This is the tricky part because you will need to mark the location just inboard of the actual unit. Keep in mind that the wires go through the headliner and not out the back. The cables should not be visible after installation.
4) Gain access to top of headliner. Different for all vehicles. Remove door trim and B panel covers, perhaps additional covers. Perhaps dome light shroud or lens. Confirm no interference if mounted in this location.
5) Drill holes. Provided screws are #10-32. Use 7 drill or 1/4 inch drill for four screw holes. Use 1/2 inch drill for cable holes.
6) Thread cables through holes and connect to vehicle +12V, GND, audio system, lights specific to vehicle. Thread screws upward threw monitor top, through holes in headliner, and fasten to square plate. (holes are taped, holes do not form a square and plate may need to to rotated 90deg to align)
If roof has additional structure available to mount monitor more directly then use it. Brace or flange around dome light, make sure not to drill through roof sheet metal.
I am not happy with the Audio output of this unit. WAY to LOW through the speaker or through the FM modulator. This and IR headphone set up must be configured through the menu (default is OFF). Also has jerky playback through USB.

We decided to purchase this item for our 2003 Chrysler Town & Country and it has worked out great. The system was easy to install and fits perfectly on the headliner between the front ceiling console and rear HVAC controls. Only drawback is that when the unit is folded down it becomes difficult to see out the rear-view mirror. Very good picture with excellent sound using FM modulator. We have not tried the RF as of yet. Product is sturdy and well designed. Remote control also works well.
